    The Odyssey by Christoper Nolan – I approached this epic partly on its own terms, but also deeply as a fan of Interstellar.  I was looking for those signature Nolan themes: the crushing weight of time, the desperate longing for home, and the tether of family. Taking a 3,000-year-old classic and translating it for a modern =audience over 180 minutes is a gamble, and Nolan mostly pulls it off..
