Brighton HA 1 Leeds United 0 – still our bogey team.
Brighton HA have been Leeds’ bogey team for some seasons now. This season, they are predicted to reach as high as sixth in the premier league.
After the frustrating loss to Spurs last week, being ahead at half time, taking on Brighton and Hove Albion has become more of a must-win, a relegation battle. Another missed opportunity but Leeds break a jinx and manage a lucky draw.
We went into this game on the back of a solid run without losing in six games to big teams. However, with the loss of two key players, a secure mid table place we were probably not as prepared or as hungry as Brighton who were looking to secure their place in the premier league for next season.
Finally in the 78th minute Leeds United put Brighton under sustained pressure. What is worrying is how the shots on goal have dried up. With opportunities eluding us Brighton's early goal and solid defending did a job on us.
