Why don’t we play like this every week? We didn’t just beat Chelsea; we physically took the ball off them and outfought them all over the pitch. This certainly felt like a different Leeds team compared to recent weeks.

Tactical Masterclass
It wasn’t about possession—at one point we had just 11%— we were far more organized. We used a high press effectively and then snapped back into shape defensively. We played to win, not just to sit back. We could have been 4-0 by half time if Struijk and Tanaka had been on target.

The Defence Steps Up
Our recent defeats have come from silly defensive errors, but tonight was different. The back line was solid. Jaka Bijol has finally clicked into position alongside the others.

There were a few scary moments on the flank, with Chelsea’s Jamie Gittens giving Jayden Bogle a hard time, and their goal came from Alejandro Garnacho getting past him for sub Pedro Neto to score just after half time. But apart from that, we limited them to long-range desperate shots.

Key Performances
• Ethan Ampadu: He was everywhere, commanding the midfield.

• Anton Stach: His delivery on corners was spot on.

• Gabriel Gudmundsson: Becoming unplayable on the left wing. We missed James, but Gabi stepped up.

• Noah Okafor: Only came on late but made a huge impact by pickpocketing the defender to set up our third goal.

Final Thoughts
We were aggressive, tactical, and hungry. Man of the match: Bijol has finally become as asset to the team.

We finished with just 28.6% possession, our lowest in a win since 2016. Tactically Farke got it right: win the ball and counter attack.

• Daniel Farke: “Elland Road was tonight back to its best.”

• Enzo Maresca: Admitted we were “better than us in every aspect.”

• League Table: This massive result lifts us out of the relegation zone.
