Ingleton Falls, Yorkshire.
The Falls take up to four hours to walk. However, as walkers we managed it in just over two hours. The top part on the fell was exposed with a howling gale and it took all our energy to walk through it. By the walk back down the rain came down and we upped our pace. The first and third sections in the river and falls are challenging walks with slate making the paths easy to fall on.
There are three parts to the walk. The first walk is through the valley, rising upwards. These are punctuated with two stunning waterfalls. The second part is fully exposed on the fells. The view is dramatic with only sheep for company. Bizarrely, we encountered an ice cream van we couldn’t resist. The third part is downhill back into the valley with smaller falls.
