The trials and tribulations of supporting Leeds United
Chelsea 1 Leeds United 0 - the curse of Wembley. There is something about Leeds United in this era that feels like a curse on us. Having watched Leeds United lose to Southampton in the Championship play-offs in the same manner is heart breaking.
Bournemouth 2 Leeds United 2 - Never Give Up. With a reputation at the beginning of the season of conceding late goals and rarely winning away.
Leeds United 3 Wolves 0. Three goals. Three points. And a clean sheet. Leeds march on to safety. United are back.
The zing appears to have gone out of the Leeds team in recent weeks which happened about this time last season. This time no goals and no wins.
Crystal Palace 0 Leeds United 0 - Gaby gets dirty. When you look at this away point gained after two defeats, it looks like a worthy one.
Sunderland 1 Leeds United 0 - throwing the kitchen sink. After Leeds showed they could match Manchester City, this was a team that was tired & bereft of ideas.
Leeds United 0 Manchester City 1 - all fall down. So that was the end of Leeds’ record of winning under the lights. But it was not given up easily as the referee gave City players the benefit of the doubt every time they fell over.
For Leeds to gain a point away at Villa is another step towards staying up. Leeds are turning into draw specialists - their tenth of the season.
Chelsea 2 Leeds United 2 - choking a point out of Chelsea. How Leeds dug out a draw says more about how Chelsea are inconsistent, and can’t kill off a game how Arsenal do.
Leeds United 3 Nottingham Forest 1 - under the lights. As the storm drenched the stadium, chaos reigned on the pitch. Leeds bullied their way to a win.
