AFC Bournemouth 4 Leeds United 1 – Freefall. Leeds United were a calamity today. After recent results we are in freefall.  On the basis of recent results Gracia has no idea.  The team have lost all confidence.

These are the worst two defences in the premier league this season. But AFC Bournemouth have won 5 of last 8 matches to get them out of relegation zone and showed their prowess today.

Leeds could have gotten something out of today.  AFC Bournemouth do concede on set pieces and corners, but Leeds United failed to take their opportunities.

Gracia has changed the team again suggesting he lacks confidence in his players. Gnonto and Kristensen were back in the first team whilst Firpo and Aaronson were dropped.  Rutter and Greenwood have sadly disappeared under Gracia.

Leeds started brightly from a handball in the first three minutes.  Summervile created havoc in the Bournemouth defence. Handball was right on the line and referee gave a penalty but accepted VAR decision as a free kick.  Roca was unlucky not to score forcing a save from Bournemouth keeper.

Summervile was again in the action a few minutes later getting behind the Bournemouth defence and crossing to Harrison who forcing another save.  An early injury to Cooper sees Wober on who makes an impressive return.

Out of a Bamford shot on target Leeds then find themselves behind.  A counter attack saw Bournemouth move too easily through the Leeds midfield with Lerma picked up the Meslier save unmarked.  Within minutes a corner made it 2-0.  Meslier was at fault when he pushed a corner away which went straight to unmarked Lerma again.

On the half hour Gnonto showed why he earned his return to the first team with a long cross that found Bamford unmarked who headed into goal.  This is what Bamford had been missing – good service into the box.

Just before half time a lot of ironic cheers from the Leeds fans as the referee finally gave a free kick to Leeds after numerous fouls had been made.

Second half calamity

Second half started with Gnonto in the game more and having a shot himself with the fans singing his name.  But Bournemouth got a third with a tight VAR decision.

With Forshaw Leeds finally looked more robust in midfield.  Roca forced a shot and then a Koch header and Gnonto shot forced a double save from the Bournemouth keeper.  But Bournemouth kept coming back.  First the sub Kiefer missed a clear header on goal.  Thent in extra time Leeds were again caught on the counter attack and go four goals down as Meslier made another mistake and failed to stop the shot.

Gracia strengthening defence has not happened. Midfield has gone missing under Gracia.  The shots on goal has improved but is not translating to goals scored. Gracia clearly has run out of ideas to get Leeds out of their mess.  After the initial bounce none of the team are performing as well as they can do.

Man of the match: Wober
